Roll of Honour:

From Ken Nichol – Some of you will perhaps have seen a reference to Neil in the last AGM Minutes relating to a proposed Memorial Garden at Park Hall. Neil managed 18 months ago to obtain access to a small area of land near where the Armoury stood. He spent a great deal of his time and energy clearing the land to form the garden. He met with Ray, Sandy and myself prior to the AGM and it was decided to donate a bench with commemorative plaque to the project. Sadly Neil will now not see the completion of his “labour of love”. However we hope to meet with Neil’s son in due course to examine whether we can assist as an Association in bringing Neil’s dream to fruition.

From Ken Nichol – The Royal Welsh Fusiliers gave Neil a full military send off complete with standard bearers and bugler in full No 1 Dress. The lady who gave the eulogy stated how important IJLB had been to him Neil had described it as “the happiest days of my life” so I think it was fitting that we were there forming part of the guard of honour.
