From Colin Perry – John joined up with me September 1958 at Plymouth, he was badged a Worcester and though he joined in Worcester, he was born in Plymouth. I think he did his time then he left and became a prison officer that’s where I met up with him again at HMP Long Lartin where I was an officer (not a resident). We used to swap some good old tales of Plymouth and Oswestry however around 2003/04 he developed stomach cancer again I met up with him again in Cheltenham General Hospital oncology unit he had retired from the prison service and I was visiting my wife in the same unit sadly John passed away as sadly too did my wife a few weeks later. John was married with I think, three boys and a girl
