From Bill Kearney – Steve and I joined IJLB together in 1970 and later served together in 3RGJ. Steve was a rifleman’s rifleman. I was proud to know him as a friend and as a fellow rifleman god bless you Steve another good Greenjacket who has heard the bugle call ‘fire and retreat’. We will all have a pint together at the final RV.
Steve’s funeral was held at St Leonard’s Church in Banbury
